A big congratulations to this year?s AEP Award Winners! Each year we receive numerous several submissions for consideration and the awards jury has the daunting task of reviewing and scoring each document against a set of criteria to select the best of the best projects.
We would like to THANK, first and foremost, the nominators. We understand the time, effort, and resources it takes to submit for an award, and because of that dedication AEP continually has numerous submissions ? which keeps the AEP Awards Program running. Secondly, a big THANK YOU to this year?s awards jury. Serving as an award juror is a big commitment and takes time and dedication from the personal and professional lives of each juror. The success of the Awards Ceremony is attributed largely to the awards jurors. Last and certainly not least, a big THANK YOU to Brian Mooney, FAICP, who has graciously served as the Master of Ceremonies yet again. Without Brian, the awards event wouldn?t be nearly as entertaining. If you were at the awards ceremony the last few years, then you know how great Brian is on the microphone! Thanks Brian ? we look forward to having you as next year?s Awards MC at the 2020 AEP State Conference in Yosemite. Also, thank you to this year?s awards photographer, Ben Kaatz of Ben Kaatz Photography, for taking great photos.
In keeping with AEPs goal as an environmental professional organization focused on sustainability and the environment, we?ve continued using awards that are made from 100% sustainable post-consumer materials. Thank you to Rivanna Natural Designs for producing high quality and great looking awards!
This year, we also had a special treat. Thank you Mitchel Morrison for sharing your fantastic CEQA poem with all of us.
