A primary objective of California AEP is to educate the public and concerned professionals in all fields related to environmental planning and analysis. We are dedicated to the continued improvement of the environmental profession and invite you to attend one of our annual workshops designed to inform consultants, regulators, applicants and industry professionals on CEQA and NEPA practice and case law, as well as other environmental issues. AEP members save up to $100 on state-sponsored event registration. Please consider becoming an AEP member and take advantage of these year-round event discounts!
Held in early November, the CEQA Essentials workshop provides a basic understanding of the fundamentals of the CEQA Statute and the State Guidelines, and includes intermediate-level practice pointers and case studies.
The Advanced CEQA Workshops, typically held in late February, is designed to help consultants, regulators, applicants, and industry professionals stay current on legal trend, and hot topics affecting the application of the Law and Guidelines.
The curriculum for AEP's NEPA Essentials Workshops focuses on NEPA's framework, determining NEPA application, common mistakes and pitfalls, and recent policy and legal updates. This workshop is held each summer, typically in June.
The AEP Institute is a unique annual event intended to stimulate discussion among a diverse range of professionals to proactively address environmental issues that are on the horizon. The Institute is typically held in June.
